Saving Windows Spool Files

Post by Nimalkad » Fri Nov 18, 2011 3:26 pm

I have a need to preserve Windows print jobs for later printing and I don't like to keep the print jobs in 'pause' mode in the spool file. Is there a way to export spool entries to a disk file ( and also to import them back to spool )? I use Windows XP.
Googled with no success. Any suggestions please.

You can install Microsoft XPS writer and then print your documents to XPS files. Then you'll be able to print them anywhere and anytime you want. XPS write is free and can be downloaded from here.

Print to PDF files is another common solution. You can download a driver from here. With this one also, you can print all your documents to PDF files and then keep them with you to print them whenever convenient for you.

In both above options, what you have to do is to make those printers as default printer. I guess that would help.

Dont use spaces with names for files and folders. I suggest Pro-cell_images and Cell_images.
