robot.lk has proven very useful to me , So I'd like to keep in touch with the posts and stuff , I was wondering whether i can subscribe on my phone like in Face Book ..... So that I'd get a text message to my phone every time someone makes a post that concerns me , is that feature available ?? and if it isnt , I'd like to make this an opportunity to make a kind request to the admins to look into this matter ...it would be very useful to the active members in this Forum cheers

I'm too happy to use this feature

But it will cost more & more money to run a SMS notification system. Sending a SMS through web is not an easy work like sending an Email. Becase every mobile phone service providers will ask for money to deliver a SMS.

If Neo is going to give us this feature, he will have to spend $0.05-0.10 per one SMS. So he never can start this, because he doesn't earn anything for ROBOT.LK (exept 'Happy').

BTW, I'll can give you this feature, if you can pay me the cost of sending SMSs

This is my 500th post in ROBOT.LK since January, 7th, 2010.
Morethan 475 of 500posts are made using mobile phone because I never got a internet speed morethan 20-30kbps (3-5kBps).

I tried it long ago. But i haven't recived at least one SMS. Also facebook sms is too slow with Mobitel & Dialog. Sometimes it gets 2-3days to deliver fb sms. So i don't care about fb sms.

ehm , NO Im subscribed to my own facebook profile , and i get txts in about 1-2minutes , check with your service provider ...Im using Dialog by the way , its comparatively faster than the other networks

It's my case too. I also use Dialog

I checked this setup myself for fun. All ROBOT.LK alerts came almost instantly

In Mobitel we don't get SMSes but MMSes comes. So we can't setup SMS alerts. Only MMS alerts that can be used.
