3.75G means more speed than 3.5G. See below table published by 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP).

3GPP Release 99 (the original 3G spec) is classified as just 3G.
3GPP Revision 5 (HSDPA only and other features added) is 3.5G
3GPP Revision 6 (HSDPA (14.4Mbps) & HSUPA (5.76Mbps) enabled aka HSPA) is 3.75G
3GPP Revision 7 (HSDPA (42Mbps) & HSUPA (11Mbps) aka HSPA+ ) is 3.9G
3GPP Revision 8 (aka LTE) is 4G

HSDPA - High-Speed Downlink Packet Access
HSUPA - High-Speed Uplink Packet Access
LTE - Long Term Evolution

When you have both, then your line would be so much smoother than the one only with HSDPA.

Dialog guys are testing LTE (4G) these days. They say that they have achieve 100 Mbps in indoor demonstration mode and 40 – 50Mbps under outdoor mobile conditions.

Mobitel (highly recommended personally for broadband internet access) is also working on 4G. Their LTE (4G) speed is reported to be 96Mbps in downlink and 49Mbps in uplink.

So I'm not happy to hear that a company like Etsalat has introduced an obsolete network (3.75G has been introduced in 2004 and LTE in 2008) while the competitors are far more on top in terms of technology standards.

I'm not happy with Mobitel's services. In our area, mobitel gets NetworkBusy always. we can't even send or recieve sms during evining times. They don't try to increase their network capacity. But now, they are talking about 4G.

That is the reality of "COLOMBATA KIRI, APA KEKIRI".

That is the reality of "COLOMBATA KIRI, APA KEKIRI".
If you are talented, there are lots of things you can do. If you put an effort but it fail due to some reasons that are out of your control, then it is okay. But if you don't try and train yourself to blame others, that's not right. You might already know, there are lots of fools in Colombo  . Even with lots of facilities, some people used to waste time & money and join the jobless club with ease.

I'll give you a good example of a person whom I consider as super intelligent.

About Bhikkhu Samahita

The lesson is, if your effort is a Perfect Effort, you will succeed one day.

Stop blaming. Start working and win your life !!!!

I'm not blaming. but it is the truth.

they eat our money & time.

Ex- one day I wanted to download a file with 14MB size (model papers for A/L new syllabus). It got two days to download it. thast's the real.

so, i'm not blaming. but i'm begging for good service.

We are going out of topic here... G-sparkZ and Saman, sorry we are misusing your topic.

Sure I fully understand the problem. This happened to me when I was trying internet in 1995/96 with SLT Dial-up. At the moment SLT ADSL is very good comparable to other services. I have tried almost all other broadband services and only Mobitel is good in Colombo area (at least).

Are you sure you can't get a SLT line with ADSL ?

The other point is I have seen that you are trying to build an antenna to grab more signals (3G if possible). What happened to that? I think you better ask from your service provider first to see whether there is any good solution already made by them.

How is your studies? Are you concentrating to pass the A/L and do an engineering degree? This is very important for you. I have seen quiet a lot of guys with technical talent but without paper qualifications. So concentrate on your studies and pass the A/L with 3As. I'm sure, that will give answers to all of your present day questions. Good luck!!!!

Hey I jumped in Too.

I told RKSK to Do his A/L too.

I am giving advices like an Intelligent person But i didn't do A/L well too. :)

I had RKSK's Problems 1.5 year before. I used Dial Up 2.5 years ago.Because There was no ADSL Coverage. And fed up with it too. I searched a lot about Programing Books and IDEs and I couldn't find a Good Book and I only found Dev C++ IDE and Dev pascal IDE.

And I even didn't know about Expertcore too. If I knew I could have master a Programing Language by Now.

Then after 1 year later I used Mobitel GPRS to Surf the net using Ubuntu. because of that i could Learn so many things of Ubuntu. But I fed up with that too because it was too Slow like Dial up and we still didn't have ADSL coverage.

Before I get ADSL I was telling to People I know, That. "There would be 3G coverage to our area after I get ADSL" And My Words got Real as I said, After one month getting ADSL, Mobitel Gave 3G coverage to our area.
And I said another thing that was "After I stop reloading to surf the Net they will start a Completion for Reloading" And that Got real too. They started Mobitel Double Bonanza after I got ADSL and stopped reloading to surf the Net

I am so Angry because those people never give some thing when we need it. They give it after we have all.

After 1.5 I could able get ADSL. That's the time I found ROBOT.LK too.

Here is my Story.

Thanks

I too far from SLT's landline path. I have to wire 2km.

I don't think, it will able to grab 3g signals. because my nearst GSM towers are not 3G supported.
