how to stream rar parts from free hosting

I'm going to make this quick so you understand how it works.

unpack to C:\

unpack rarstreamer.zip into C:\

it should look like this now

C:\rarstreamer

now, go into that folder, and click on monitor.bat, next click on wget.bat this will download all the urls contained in playlist.txt wait for a little for example until you see around 3 rar parts downloaded a decompressed file should appear inside the decompressed folder, go into that folder and open with videolan, so there you have it streaming a video thats based on a free hosting account that limits FTP to 2mb.

this type of trick should work on all free hosting providers, i have included demo urls so you can see how it works.

so to sum it all up, you unpack, click monitor, click wget, wait for 20 seconds, go into decompressed folder, and open file with videolan.

thats it. i got this idea from usenet and nzbplayer.

forgot to mention, its only windows friendly sorry Linux guys,

remember if you want to create your own video rar you need to find out what your hosting FTP limit is, most free hosting companies limit around 2mb or maybe 5mb which ever remember that when creating many rar parts, each part should be based on your FTP limit


when you created your many rar, create folder on your hosting account and upload there, when completed, go into directory on browser and view source, use notepad ctrl + h to find this is how i get all the urls right

updated, you do not need to click on monitor.bat anymore this has been combined with wget.bat, now you only need to set wget.bat to be always opened with playlist.txt so for example your testing some demos here, the meta file which has all the urls will be always called playlist.txt this will automatically open with wget.bat and start the process download and unrar, you.

unzip to C:\

and set as shown on pic, right click your mouse over playlist.txt and open with, nav to C:\rarstream\ and pick wget.bat , tick to always open with this. and now your set to stream on demand, the only thing you need to do is actually go into c:\rarstream\decompressed and open with videolan pretty cool !

please make sure you save playlist.txt into C:\rarstream\ when you done this just click on playlist.txt and open file under decompressed folder


anywhere else will just download the rar without decompression ok
