Head phone



My brother wish to buy a head phone & he asked from me what are the features that he should know about head phones to buy a good one.
I also honestly don't know much.In my experience I went to a shop 2years ago & asked for a head phone I search about the watt power of that & got it.That's all.But this time I wanna know about more details to tell my bro.
can you please tell me about that.
What are the best brands of headphones available here & price..(According to my knowledge we can get one for Rs.500-750.From Kandy.Colombo price may deference from Kandy)
Features that we should know about those headphones?

Engineering sections are only to ask theoretical engineering questions. There is no Computer Science in your question But I know you didn't do it intentionally.

BTW: There isn't any good headphone brands in SL. Try Singer Mega if you are looking for a good one. You should basically have the two earphones on both sides with a mic. If he can listen to a good quality music, he can check the earphones. To check mic, he can record voice and playback. Without testing it is not possible to find a good one.

Standard earphone type headphone sets with mic are having following characteristics normally.
Frequency range: 20 -20K Hz
Impedance: 16 ohms
Max Input Power: 100mw

And large ones have the following.
Frequency response: 18-20K Hz
Impedance: 32 ohms
Max input power: 400 mW

The point is, it would be either not printed on a box or figures are not guaranteed in cheep ones. So you will have to try a few and see whether you are happy with it.

You might be able to buy a good branded one through eBay. Check for Sony, Aiwa headphones.

Thanks for the info NEO.But the thing is That head phone is not for me.For one of my relation.Cousin.So I will not buy one from e bay for him.because I don't have much money in my accounts.

We went so many shops & checked,checked..checked the sound quality of the headsets & finally got one.Now using it.
Still working fine.Cost Rs.550.
