what is the best format to format the disk...?

If you are going to install windows Xp or above you must format into NTFS. NTFS is better than FAT.

I don't know much NTFS has more data Security.

So technically, if you have a large disk like a hard disk, then format using NTFS. If it is a small disk like a Flash Pen, MMC, SD, etc... format using FAT32.
