USB Host Controller
A hi-speed USB host controller refers to the hardware inside the computer that provides hi-speed USB functionality to the ports. One hi-speed USB host controller can control several USB ports.
USB Hub
A USB Hub which plugs into a single USB port and offer several USB ports. USB Hubs can exist internally or externally to the computer.

^ Not essentially true.
USB host refers to the USB controller, that convert USB packets and keep them in a buffer that to be read
by the CPU.
USB hub means a USB device where you could connect more USB devices and it encodes and sends them to
the USB host.
A USB port is not a port that USB device could be connected. And it should not essentially be a USB host. You
could add up to 127 ports per a one USB host.
Read the USB in nutshell book ,you'll get it all clear.
