Boost Up Internet Speed In Windows

Most of the computers in world run on Windows. No doubt. But the worst thing is about 20% of your internet bandwidth is reserved by Microsoft for few reasons.
  • Windows Automatic Updates rely on this reserved bandwidth.
  • Fast loading Microsoft Websites
  • Sending Error Reports
  • Online Help support in Microsoft Office
Here is the way to recover that 20% and make your PC to use the full bandwidth of the Internet connection.
  1. Start menu -> Run
  2. Type gpedit.msc -> This opens the Policy Editor
  3. Go to Local Computer Policy -> Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> QOS Packet Scheduler
  4. On Right hand side double-click Limit reservable bandwidth
  5. On Setting Tab, it says "Not Configured" and notice that on the Explain Tab it says By default, the Packet Scheduler limits the system to 20 percent of the bandwidth of a connection
  6. Select Enabled
  7. Change Bandwidth limit (%) to 0 (Zero)
  8. Click Ok
Enjoy! ;)
