Lord Buddha's teaching on World's End is explained in SapthaSuriyaggamana sutra. In English, this is "The sermon of the seven suns". This is in Anguttara Nikaya or Sutra Pitaka.
If I simply, it is a time that our world starts orbiting a seconds sun, then a 3rd and finally up to seven stars. Without scientific evidence, I personally couldn't figure this out. But finally.....

The reason for becoming Buddhism popular day by day in this intelligent world is because of these scientific expeditions. It could be the reason for Prof. Albert Einstein to state as follows.

The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description. If there is any religion that could cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism.
