There is a hard disk, installed windows xp on it. when I try to boot the pc with it, it can't load windows, only show a blue screen after starting to load. So i tried to repair the windows intallation with a windows bootable CD. but in disk checking task, it stucks.

then I plugged this hard drive as the slave with another hard drive witch working & have installed windows xp. now i can browse this hard disk and do every file managing tasks. also I scanned this hard drive with windows disk scan. it got long time to comple & some sounds came from the disk like "tak tak". but it completed without any erros. then i tried to format it. but formating stucks at the begining.

what can be the problem? is it means, this hard drive has broken & never works?

THANKZ.

It seems your hard disk is going to damage permanently soon. Backup all your important data as soon as possible.
Listen to sounds in the post at https://robot.lk/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=2094#p5129 and see what matches you the most.

maybe you should,
FIXBOOT and FIXMBR, then a FORMAT C:
blue screen, could be memory issues, boot.ini corrupted, most likely mbr or BIOS is not set correctly.

hmm what will i do if i see blue screen of death, i would go into BIOS and do Default options , than try to rebuild mbr record from here if it is fixed format the C:\ from MSDOS and reinstall something else ,
