I have a little java programme(applet) downloaded from a web site.
I want to edit it.
What are the freewares to edit a pre made java programme ?

I started learning java(Now stopped..)
I used a editor call ECLIPSE.It is little complex.But good one to use according to my ideas.NEO is the expert on your section he will give you the better solution for you.Wait for his reply.

i mean a java editor which able to edit existing(with me) java programme.

NetBeans is the best I know. Eclipse is also good but it is lacking performance on fewer configurations. Both are free as freedom

Thanks NEO.I will start my studies with NETBEAN again.Can you please help me on it.
Now a days I am using WIN 7.I have to install JAVA to my PC.
I know how to do it in windows2006 ver Advance secure.(I used before)

Can you give me some tutorials how to install java in WIN 7.

Win 7 is great.But I am not familiar with it yet.Trying to be.

On another topic, I asked you to install NetBeans IDE that comes with Java. This is just a reply to close this topic.
