Which VS.NET controls attracts you and why?

In my opinion, this would be an interesting way to learn the popular, creative and new controls VS.NET has.

The why section would cover a reason with an example probably, which will hopefully all the visitors would learn from in a practical way.

For example, timer attracted me as a new user, as well as editing main form window (graphics), windows media player component as well.

Looking forward to experienced people's opinion.

but I'd like to ask specifically about balloontip of google talk. Attached is also the image of what i am referring to and how to achieve that effect.

Please see the 2nd icon from left please. And on clicking, it opens the tab above it. Opens like the window is coming from bottom and slides upwards.
