Questions about Screen Resolution and DPI

Post by Nipuna » Mon Jul 18, 2011 1:24 pm

My Monitor is about 2 feet away.

And Small things didn't work for me.

So I Increased DPI to 125% And I got used to it i think and After getting used to it now I feel 125% they're not Ugly :)

But for websites I have to Press CTRL and + to Increase things.

I have a Question,
For Videos and Games(I think for Games it Does) does Windows Automatically Resize DPI to make things well? I played some Videos After Increasing and before but couldn't see a Deference. I like if it is.

Games work in a pre-setted resolution. So it is not the OS but the Games which themselves change the resolution, DPI, etc... according to that preset values. When it comes to videos, what the OS (DirectX actually) does is, it makes a Window (Plane/Surface) which is suitable to show that video. Video header usually states on what resolution and colour depth it works the best so DirectX creates the surface accordingly. However these things can be changed by settings and override the file settings. If you have put hardware acceleration for DirectX, there is nothing much left for you to do for videos and games.

Thanks,

But I already Knew that Games change values by themselves i forgot to Type.

Even you might have seen my Wrong grammar and spellings in some of my ROBOT.LK posts that's because I type fast to post quickly so i do wrong things. Some times I Correct them later some times i accidentally miss them.

The above one is something like that :)
