Post by Nipuna » Wed Nov 03, 2010 8:13 am

I have Sony cd-rw crx320ee.

Now I got a Problem that is. My drive can't read DVD+R or +RW ones. But Above pages says it Can Read.
i tried Opening DVDs from Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.04 too.

But It can read DVD-r and -RW ones. well. is there anyway to Fix this.

Thanks

According to the spec, yours support both plus and dash versions of DVR. So you will have to check whether there is any technical problem.

Anyway - and + has only a fewer differences in terms of user's point of view. See DVD-R vs. DVD+R (+R Versus -R).

It seems likely there is a hardware fault in your drive if the DVDs are good. Online help isn't possible for such problems.
Try out some more DVDs...

Honestly I can't figure out how I can be more help on a hardware problem. The last thing I can suggest is to try updating the driver of you DVD drive.... Try different brands, disks written from another DVD drive, etc...
