How to setup Cron Job in GoDaddy shared hosting

Post by Neo » Sat Sep 11, 2010 10:08 am

When I had to setup cron jobs in one of my accounts, I first thought it is not possible with GoDaddy. Secondly I thought I would have to request their SSH feature which will bring my sites to another server where SSH is possible. Later I thoguht I would better have a look at their Control Panel and found out it is just a piece of cake to setup cron jobs with it. :)

Here is how to do it.
  1. Login to your account and ho to Hosting.
  2. Find cron jobs menu under Content as below and click it.

  3. If you are setting up cron jobs for the first time, you will have to set an email address as below.

  4. Follow the numbers marked in red to click or enter details.

  5. If you are an advance user, you can click on "A" marked in blue colour to get advanced cron options.
  6. Again, GoDaddy Linux hosting (shared) seems having everything required by a standard website.
