I was wondering whether that is really possible when you suggest that link. I don't see anything like that in that link other than it states how can I install it on Windows XP? Until now, that hasn’t been possible

Anyway, there is no direct way. We can't download a separate install for IIS. It comes as a Windows Component. Other than you are able to install that, there is noway to upgrade those components.

lol a big mistake, you should download "web matrix" since its a codebase of iis 7! If im right

Correct. But it is still not the production quality IIS7. It's a version based on the IIS7 code called IIS Express (with less features & a set of imposed restrictions).

Just as VS.Net and VS.Net Express versions.
