Thanks SandunDhammikaPerera
And welcome to robot.lk it's bit late to sat hello
I learned C++ till functions from this tutorial that Neo gave me
https://robot.lk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=12 ... rial#p7437 ( tutorial.pdf ). Here its website
http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/
Then I had to stop learning C++ because I had to start learning Java for BIT at UCSC. But It was easy for me to switch to Java quickly because I had basic knowledge of C++.
First I didn't like Java much, Now I like it. I know Java till it's OOP parts and I am referring this book nowadays http://www.amazon.com/Java-Beginners-Gu ... 916&sr=8-1
Before I read Head first java http://www.amazon.com/Head-First-Java-K ... 973&sr=1-1 and stopped it because there was some topics they didn't explain much.
I will learn Java well as Neo told me do one thing at a time
Then learn the other languages. I like C++ too because its codes are shorter than Java.
As you said I know doing a project is very essential to get experiences. So I am thinking to do some freelancer projects after learning Java and while doing BIT and of course after BIT also.
Then as Neo said I can show those projects when I face to an interview. Going to classes is a problem to me. There is a Java course at UCSC, a 3 months long one. But the problem is I need to go to BIT classes too. I haven't started participating them. But I will. So there will be no time for a Java course. And there is another problem that is, it takes about 2.5 hours to go to Colombo and total 5hours. So I have to go too early and come home too late. There are bus problems some times too. So I think to Self study Java and the other languages. I did this much by doing self studies.
My main goal is to get good marks in BIT so I will do it first while doing it I learn a language. Without a degree like you guys, I am useless
And by the way, what do you have to tell me about learning Java(Almost same things right
? But how about ones like those xlib things?) ?
