Hi, I'm using a i3 laptop but I feel more performance when after I disabled the indexed searching.
refer this document to turn off indexed searching...

If you have a good DX10 graphics card then GUI is most probably not the trouble.

which means if you have a card better than nvidia 6200.

Normally graphics are not run through the main CPU, they are offloaded to the GPU by the
operating system.So don't worry about the graphics.

if you find it's always gone to 100% then may be there's a virus background is running.
