Read the tutorial page by page, understand the contents as much as possible and experiment every example using a suitable C IDE (mentioned in previous posts) is the way to learn from any tutorial. As stated before, do not worry about C or C++.

C language is procedure oriented language. You can easily learn. It consists of structure, keywords, functions, header files. These are the basic knowledge about C. Also you want to make program so you need to install turbo c. It is very useful language for programming.
