He used a reactor. Reactors are used for containing and controlling chemical reactions. For example, Nuclear reactors are used for nuclear reactions. I think he used a nuclear reactor to have lots of energy (E=mc^2).

Reactors at that size will be possible if cold fusion becomes a reality(practical) someday. :D

There are particals in his chest from the explosions and an electromagnet implant keeps the particals away from his importaint organs so he can live. He then made the light up one to take its place so it would last longer because a battary wont last as long.

He used the same principal to power his body kit. So it is not actually powering up his human body.
