i saw this post from a member, but i have some problems, in that topic he never posted "the part list" and the "pic programming code" so can some one help me with
* "the part list"
* "The pic programming codes"
* "the diagram"
regards praveen
i have to test doing it

Re: How to drive a CD-Rom motor with PIC microchip??
according to this image i want to know the diagram between the micro controller and the l293d ic with the power supply
Re: How to drive a CD-Rom motor with PIC microchip??
Just connect pins of PORT B (PB0, PB1, PB2, PB3) to Controller Pin 1, 2,3 and 4 respectively.
If your motors are 12V, then connect 12V to "stepper Motor Supply". Connect the same 5V supply you used to give power to the microcontroller (PIC). Connect all grounds together.
ULN2003 is commonly used to drive stepper motors (We supplied few ICs for your school project). Here are some examples uses of the IC (Also with code). I just did a qucik search. There can be some more.

Re: How to drive a CD-Rom motor with PIC microchip??
then? thats it?? how do i supply current to the PIC??Just connect pins of PORT B (PB0, PB1, PB2, PB3) to Controller Pin 1, 2,3 and 4 respectively.
ya its a 12v motor that means 12+ should be connected to the "stepper Motor Supply" and the 12- should be connected to the "ground"??If your motors are 12V, then connect 12V to "stepper Motor Supply". and i wish you could quote me the part list too
Re: How to drive a CD-Rom motor with PIC microchip??
PIC needs to be powered with smooth 5V. We have supplied you a 7805 power regulator for this.then? thats it?? how do i supply current to the PIC??
+12 - ( - 12) = 24V...so it is not correct. You need connect the centre tap to the ground.ya its a 12v motor that means 12+ should be connected to the "stepper Motor Supply" and the 12- should be connected to the "ground"??
I think you missed my post in page 3 of your previous post on how to build a drawing machine. The exact post is https://robot.lk/viewtopic.php?f=75&t=2 ... t=20#p7695and i wish you could quote me the part list too
All information you need to know is there

anyway thanks
Re: How to drive a CD-Rom motor with PIC microchip??
Sounds you didn't get what you have askedanyway thanks
Let me know whether you can make it with those or you need further information. I'm also very busy these days so please note I might not be able to answer posts quickly or add detailed descriptions other than giving quick tips.
