How to Auto Refresh a Web Browser

Post by Neo » Tue Nov 24, 2009 10:59 pm

  1. Download Opera Internet browser and install on your PC. You will need this to use the auto refresh program.
  2. Connect to the internet and open up Opera to access the auto refresh.
  3. Navigate to the page that you wish to set to auto refresh to get regular updates on what is happening on that particular page.
  4. Right click on a blank spot in the web page to bring up the Opera context menu.
  5. You will see many options, but only two which we are interested in: Reload and Reload Every
  6. To setup an auto-refresh, we want Reload Every. Click on Reload Every to pop out a sub-menu which contains times such as 5 seconds, 10 seconds and so on. Choose the frequency with which you want the page to refresh and click on that time. Your page will now automatically refresh in Opera at the appointed interval.
  7. To quickly refresh a page while using Opera, you can use the Reload option, however this will not set up an automatic refresh the page.
In Mozilla Firefox, you will need to install ReloadEvery Add-on.

Is it possible to auto refresh a page that I have to log into? When I try to refresh from the address bar it say page not found. I have to click on a button inside of the web page to update the status. Do you know if this is possible? Thanks,

There is an add-on called "RefreshBar" that does what you want. I use it all the time. I am in the trucking business, and seeing the load first means getting the load.... The tool is available at the following link http://download.cnet.com/RefreshBar/300 ... 90620.html

This topic is long ago but I have heard that the latest version of Opera has now a refresh button. Refresh is really very important for a browser because reload the pages that has now loaded correctly. I just don’t know if this rumor is true because I am using other browser and not Opera.
