My ipado-web-media-encoder

Post by Mysoogal » Sat Mar 05, 2011 10:47 pm

what it is
IPado Web Media Encoder, is based on a Linux server with apache2 and php that provides web based front end for video encoding with ffmpeg on the ipad, it converts mkv videos etc into mp4 so Iphone or Ipad can play that file.
created on google code http://code.google.com/p/ipado-web-media-encoder/

you need to have your own Linux Web server, with root access so you can chmod and install ffmpeg , probably a cheap vps with at least 20gb and 300 gb bandwidth and 500mb memory should be fine

 no problems

I'm going to expand it to support all the ipad video formats it supports and maybe go after the mobile video like for s60 mobiles :D I'm still working out the ffmpeg command line pretty slow i hate ffmpeg, at first i was going to use handbrake but that didn't want to compile good so i left it out and returned to ffmpeg
