According to what I have understood, what you are planning is something similar to torrents. Kind of a global database that the users can use for searching shared files in one place. Correct me if I'm wrong. If that is the case, I think it is a great idea by Mysoogal The Great Go ahead with it.

pretty much through HTTP, i was thinking to use http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metalink as the standard method of downloading from central hub which has all the user databases published.

lol Sorry i really forgotten that bit torrent supports HTTP SEEDING that is pretty much what i wanted i didn't read enough but i still think my idea is a great idea because using meta-link with many hosting hubs will always speed your download.

they said nothing on wiki about HTTP SEEDING now i wonder if somehow we can metalink it with bit-torrent that be really cool
