EDGE in SriLanka

Post by Rksk » Sun Jun 26, 2011 11:51 am

I found EDGE is another way for mobile internet when we haven't 3G coverage. I saw it has more than 200kbps speed and there is good EDGE coverage in SriLanka.

Have anyone used? What do you think about it?

According to what I have heard, only GPRS and 3G(WCDMA) is available in Sri Lanka. We need to call to mobile companies such as Mobitel, Dialog, Atisalat, Airtel, Hutch, etc... and ask them what is available with your location information.

Mobitel seems to be using EGSM in some areas. In my home I have EGSM900 signals. And EDGE :)
