Etisalat Broadband Review

Post by Saman » Sat Jun 04, 2011 10:30 pm

I have ordered an Etisalat Broadband connection today. The marketing guy who promised me to bring a sim didn't come. First reason was a bus strike and the 2nd was rain. So my first impression is not so good with them. However I'm looking forward to get the sim tomorrow. I'm very much interested on their pre-paid connection (Rs. 300/m 1GB data).

I will submit my review soon. Until then please share your expereince.

I'm so happy about their performance and hope it will be as that forever.

Make sure you have to set the Etisalat APN as etisalat.

Of cause yes. I will report ExdpertCore about the Etisalat broadband connection. For the moment it is very good.

I'm using the pre-paid connection. It is possible to load Rs. 20 and send a SMS to 2211 with the text D20 to use the connection for a whole day. 50 MB free for the day and additional surfing is only 50 cents per MB. According to my knowledge this is very reasonable. We can keep it without loading for the days we don't use internet through the dongle.

I'm using all 20 and 50 more often these days especially when I'm out of office. This is really superb. So far so good. You can decide whether you are going to 20, 50, 100 or 300 yourself from home. No need to do anything.

What you have to do is, buy an Etisalat card (Say Rs. 200) and then load it to your chip. So you have a Rs. 200 balance. Then if you only want internet for a day and 50MB is enough (usually in my case for email checking), I just send an SMS 'D20' to 2211 so my card is activated with a D20 package. Now my balance is Rs. 180. Next day, if I want 150MB, I can use D50 package. After that my remaining balance is Rs. 30. I can use that as well. So for short term use these packages are very valuable.

If I need to use this for a month, I can still use Rs. 300, 1GB package. I guess this is also worth.

At the end of the image you have submitted has the answer.

I just checked this and it works fine with me. If you could report this on a separate topic, others might try and report as well.
