Linux NOOP io-scheduler

Post by SemiconductorCat » Mon Aug 19, 2013 11:11 am

Does anybody have experienced some performance enhancements with using NOOP ioschd?
I'm asking about the pcDuino or Android boards where booting the OS with flash or SD card.

What you think boys and girls , does that noop scheduler feels something on performance when
using SD cards. I think android is using this. A

Anyway you could pass the 'elevator=noop' to the kernel in the kernel boot.
I wonder what kind of io scheduling is used when the linux image is loading. It's just around 4Megs but
it does truly hurts.
