Difference between Load Swith and a Relay

Hi all , as we all know that new semiconductor products use load switches which are engineered
to have less leakage current.

Does anybody know more about load switches? There is not even a wiki page, I think technology
is still new.

But TI guys are already selling these devices.

Let me have some application note if you guys know.

I'm asking for a example implementation.So I could review it. Does anybody use this on your design?
Could I replace a 250V DC motor switch [SSR] from this?
