Now you have three more things to do.

1. remove the cable from the PC and directly short the Pin 2 and Pin 3 of your computer serial port. And as you did ,
write someting on the hyperterminal and see , wheter you can see what you are typing. This test has no effect of the
cable and if this fail , we can definetly say your computer COM port has some problem and then you have to go for another computer.

2. If above test is successful , check continuity of your serial cable in femal and male sides.
That mean check the continuity of femal pin 2 and male pin 2. and check the continuity of femal pin 3 and male pin 3.
if this is ok , we can think that your cable is ok.

3. Or else you can ask serial cable from your friend and try or you can buy a new one and try. They are not expensive.

Dear Magneto,

It only shows that,
hyperterminal.JPG
hyperterminal.JPG (23.44 KiB) Viewed 12288 times
I think it says an error of my serial port (COM1).

COM2 has an error in settings.

Can I resolve this problem and use COM2 with JDM ?

Thanks...
