Even after few years of releasing Windows Vista, it was unable to capture Windows XP and Linux users as expected most probably due to complexity in use. It didn't make the turning point as users of Windows 95/98 did with Windows XP.

However recent news from Windows 7 RC users are saying a different story. They are just amazed with it.
