Automated Torrent , Encode MP4 - Streaming IPhone 4

Post by Mysoogal » Fri Jul 22, 2011 7:03 pm

its time again for me to post some interesting garbage :geek: today we are going to learn how to setup a complete automated torrent downloading and encoding all from your I-Phone 4 if you have it. works on other mobile devices.

things you need,

a mobile that support web surfing like the I-Phone 4, other mobile devices should work as long they support Java script execution

1. some modern mobile
2. Handbrake Batch Encoder - download from here http://www.box.net/shared/i6exaxr438
3. utorrent 3.0 http://www.utorrent.com/downloads/complete?os=win
4. HFS ~ Http File Server http://www.rejetto.com/hfs/download

next step, install everything

i assume you installed everything, now go into C:\ and create the following folders

Garbage
Downloads
Completed

next step is to configure the directory on utorrent, start utorrent, go into options and under directory add the paths like this

Put New downloads in {x}
C:\Garbage

Move Completed downloads to {x}
C:\Downloads

next step , click on Remote option and enable your u-torrent to be accessed on-line just follow the questions, create your User name and password, add your Question password and thats it. click on apply and ok. utorrent is done.

next step. setting up the watchfolder paths

click on HandBrake WatchFolder icon on desktop, now right click your mouse on the task bar icon and click settings,

now do the following

source directory to watch
C:\Downloads

source 2 Directory to watch

C:\Downloads

target location to save encoded file

C:\Completed

make sure you pick the right preset for your mobile device, click on choose built in preset and pick mp4 or whatever your mobile can support.

this is optional , click on after encode option and add the path to C:\Completed

now, click on update settings

we now need to start HFS file server, open hfs on the left side you would see empty home directory, you right click your mouse key and add folder from disk C:\Completed

now this is important, you need to disable the limits in hfs, click on menu , limits options, > disable speed limits

and if that anti leech is ticked on disable that also. thats about it.

now everything is configured.

now go into your mobile and open browser, and type in http://web.utorrent.com you should see mobile version of u-torrent remote, just add your user name and password you created

thats it now you can import torrents into your client. it will download convert and send into completed folder,

to find the encoded mp4 file you just type in 127.0.0.1 and thats it happy streaming.

sorry no pictures I'm feeling pretty lazy nowadays

so if your still confused, what this is all about, this enables you to download torrents through your mobile and have your computer encode the file and send it into the file server where it feeds it back online through port 80 so you can stream with your mobile
