Force Quit Programmes when Shutdown Windows 7

Post by Nipuna » Tue Mar 22, 2011 3:34 pm

Hello

Because of my problems with my UPS, I connected Computer to UPS and Monitor to the Main Current. It's the only way i can Save my Hard Disk, Because If I use both UPS turned off.

Now My Problem is I want to Force Quit Programs when Power Goes. Because I can't see anything because Monitor turns off.

After I press Power Button on Keyboard Programs are waiting to Quit.

How Can I force Quit Them? I am Using Windows 7.

If There is a Keyboard Shortcut or Something it would be easy for Me.

Thanks

How if you Hibernate your PC without completely shutting it down? This will keep all your open programs intact when you turn your PC again. However, it require more hard disk space.

Nope. I don;t think so. If this is the case, it would be popularly knows to us.
However I don;t usually use Hibernate since it eats lots of system resources. It could faster the degradation process of both hard disk and RAM due to heavy usage. This can also happen when you use large programs such as 3D studio max, etc... that involve lot of memory and hard disk usage (page file). Other than that I don't see any big problem special to Hibernate feature.

Thank Saman...
You may be correct according to some story who my friends said me.
Some friends are play video games and hibernate machine so their lazy mind :? .Some one said me he worked with Adobe After Effect and hibernate machine.
This two programs are get more RAM usage.therefore,Their RAM cards lose them. :( :)
but, special is this three machines have Foxconn G41 motherboard.
I also have G41 Foxconn MB.but, newer burn my RAM. :D because,I not use program that get more RAM usage. But,Some time(3 time) stuck my system after turn on hibernation.I restarted using restart button.Nothing happen.only lose my some data.

This is what microsoft is saying about Hibernation. :)
Hibernation is a power-saving state designed primarily for laptops. While sleep puts your work and settings in memory and draws a small amount of power, hibernation puts your open documents and programs on your hard disk, and then turns off your computer. Of all the power-saving states in Windows, hibernation uses the least amount of power. On a laptop, use hibernation when you know that you won't use your laptop for an extended period and won't have an opportunity to charge the battery during that time.

So windows do not give any option to force stop/cancel the programs and than switch off abruptly? Do the programs open by default when you restart again??

Well, these are very old topics you are replying. Anyway, there are ways to force-stop and there are many new 3rd party applications which could be used nowadays.
