Seagate 250 GB External Drive or Samsung 250 GB External Dri

I am in need to buy an external hard drive. Am getting both of the external drives of 250 GB from Seagate and Samsung at the same price.

Would like to go with the best product. Seagate looks promising but I'll be using Windows 7. Would that be a problem?

Whereas, in Samsung drive, I can notice extra security features.

Confused about the pros and cons, am concerned about the data transfer rate too and durability.

Need response as urgently as possible.

Yup, sure. Seagate is the best hard disk available today. It is extremely reliable compared to rest of the brands.
I used a Seagate 210 MB HD in 1993. From there until today, Seagate has never took me in to trouble. This is at least my experience. (I just posted a photo of a 1 TB Seagate HD that I'm going to buy in couple of weeks).

Samsung is also used by few of my friends and they never had problems with them. If the Seagate is not too expensive than Samsung and you get a good warranty, better go for Seagate.
