How to Uninstal Prolink H9601c USB Modem Drivers Windows 7

Post by Nipuna » Fri Jun 17, 2011 7:36 pm

Hello

I got a New Problem

My Router's Power Adapter is Broken and My Other Power packs' Power isn't Enough for the Router.

So I tried to install my Modem again. Last time When I try to Uninstall it last time it didn't succeed(Said Can't find /Key and bla bla ...) So I Manually deleted the files and removed Registry Entries
And This time I tried to install it again but it says, Modem is Already installed remove it and then Install. So I searched C drive for files and then deleted the files. But Still same. Still say it's already installed but there is no any file is left that i can see.

So I had to take my Uncle's Suntel CDMA Phone's Power Adapter and Connect my Router's Power Adapter's Cable by Sticking Sellotapes :D. I will use this until I buy another Power Adapter. Which is 12V 500mA one. My Other ones' Current weren't Enough. They were 300mA.

My Question is How to Install Modem Drivers Again? Because I am thinking to use the Modem until I buy another Power Adapter.

They Didn't work Friend.

So I downloaded Unknown Device Finder software and then Searched my Modems Driver then I got this page.

http://www.dlink.com.au/tech/drivers/fi ... dsl200.htm

Using its Remover tool I was able to remove the driver and Reinstall it again.

First time I when used the tool, It didn't remove it although it said it did but actually not :D So i ran it again then it worked.

Then reinstalled Drivers again and working fine.

I will use Modem until i find another Power Adapter.

My modem is a Prolink h9601c one.

But by searching drivers with Unknown Device Finder, I've found out that it is really a Dlink one.

I said all the info about how I was able to unstall it. But in another day I wanted to remove the drivers again after an installation and that time the tool didn't work as same as yours, but I tried again and again then it worked. I don't know why sometimes it doesn't unstall the driver.
