Herath, me and the other supporters are trying to express our idea for the benefit of the questioner as we see the problem.
Nipuna, I still think you need to systematically learn the subject of computer science and software engineering. Otherwise you'll become a jack of all trades but master of none. For a computing career, it is required to expertise one or two fields. No one can say I'm an expert of everything.
People who work on Databases don't know much about Embedded though they learn it as a subject. However when you do a standard course that covers most of the parts, you can decide whether you are going to web field, application development, etc...
Since you are waiting for your A/L results, you can learn C++ programming with covering programming techniques. C# and Java are the other two alternatives I see since those are highly OOP (Object Oriented Programming). You will be able to learn OOP later as well.
