How to Build designing skills ?

Hi

I have a new problem

I like to design web sites. Mostly Magento themes.

My question is I don't have any designing skills, Why I am saying that is,

I don't feel what is the good design for this web site and what is the best for that website etc...

And I even can't recognize beautiful things. EX: If I sees a site I can't get any idea what is the best beautiful theme for that site. And another things, That is, People say that flowers are beautiful but I don't see any speciality of them.

Even I can't drop designings nicely. I did Art(Painting) for O/L even I did I can't even draw a good painting,If I draw deers they seem like dogs

So how can I design websites nicely?

If that is a art then you have to go and watch carefully how a craftsmen is doing it.
what you all need is concentration.

Go and see already designed web sites.And Review their code.
yes Line by line. It will make you a good programmer.



Try to draw something is really important , if you can't imagine it clearly then you probably can't draw
it nicely. Which means drawing will definitely increase the skills of imagination and creativity,
not an idea , have you done mechanical drawing as a subject? In mechanical drawing there is something
called 'Free Hand Drawing'. Believe me it have changed my life.

I really made my interest to draw machine parts with pencil and paper in free hand without drawing it
to a scale. Believe me it will made you a good designer ,

Go and find how mechanical machines work. Try to redraw their parts from perspective angles.
Just don't use instruments just use your free hand. If you get a car simple car engine , you can find
most of the parts on the internet. Try to draw them. With time your skills will be increased and your
concentration will be developed. Believe me you'll feel a big difference with your life when you find it
not only for web designing ,you'll do everything very neatly and accurately.

I was able to draw well when i was little.

I can draw well better by watching them and drawing than imagining

Designing a web site has two parts. Art work and programming. Anybody who is experienced in programming can help you to get on with the second one. But Art work is something you need to think with your own imaginations with good knowledge on computer aided graphic designing skills. Art work is usually called the concept of the website. Site layout is planned based on the concept which involves colour schemes, image placements, graphical effects, etc... that play a major role supported by programming (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX, etc...).

Website concept is usually designed as a PSD file using Adobe Photoshop. When the web designer (usually a graphic designer) make this PSD file and export to a JPEG file which to be sent to the client for approval.

It is clear that, to design a website it is necessary to involve a graphic designer and a web developer.
