You will have to wait until tomorrow to get an answer for this.

Yes, you can start your career as a junior software engineer right after your degree.
Mostly Java. C and VB are used for some subjects.
In my opinion, yes, it will be easier for you if you could do a computer diploma before BIT. But lets wait until tomorrow to get a proper answer.

I found it from here in the official site for BIT/UCSC.
A person with three passes in the G.C.E. (A/L) examination in one sitting and a credit pass for Mathematics in the G.C.E. (O/L) examination or any other academic/professional qualifications deemed equivalent to above could apply for the programme. All applicants who satisfy the above entry requirements and pass the selection test which consists of analytical, quantitative and communication skills would be enrolled for the BIT degree programme provided they are not less than 17 years of age.

Call UCSC and there is a receptionist who is able to give you all the information required on that. I think it is a IQ test but you have to be sure.

Hi,

You should pass A/L with 3 minimum passes, then u can apply for BIT. If you dont have 3 passes, we have a course call FIT. Then you have to do FIT and do BIT after.

Yes, you can be a junior s/w engineer. We do not deliver lectures for BIT student, however we put all the learning materials online as e-Learning materials. You can follow it. Materials and Exams are in English medium. If you want you can go for other institutes to follow lectures. But this is in self learning mechanism.

If you need any info visit http://www.bit.lk
