The Borg collective has targeted the International Space Station and is assimilating the crew. Resistance is futile.

Only kidding. This is European Space Agency astronaut Alexander Gerst trying out an eye bath that works in microgravity.

Living in space throws up all sorts of problems. When dust gets in your eyes, for example, it's hard to rinse them. There's no running water on the space station, for starters, and the lack of gravity means that squirting liquid in your eye just produces a bigger and bigger blob that spreads across your face.

These goggles solve that problem. They are connected to an eyewash solution that is pumped around the eyes and then away. They might look painful, but Gerster insists the space goggles don't feel weird. Unlike assimilation, one imagines.
