We've all been there. You're out and about, heading home, when it hits you - do I have enough milk? You seem to remember leaving a decent amount in the fridge after breakfast, but what if someone has gone on a tea binge while you weren't there? Should you pick up some more, just in case?
These dairy dilemmas will now be a thing of the past, thanks to Do We Have Milk?, a smartphone app and sensor-equipped jug combo that constantly monitors the level of milk in your fridge.
It was created by Teehan+Lax, a design company based in Canada where milk is often purchased in bags stored in a jug in the fridge. They simply added a weight sensor to the jug that communicates with an Android app, letting you check how much milk is left or receive alerts when it is close to running out. The app will even pop up a map listing the nearest shop selling milk.
DWHM? is still just an experiment, but it seems like a neat concept that could actually work as a product - and one that would be much simpler and cheaper than previous "smart fridge"ideas.
Smart jug tells your phone when milk runs low

Very nice Nipuna. Also, this is the first time I have seen a Vimeo video shared here
