Honestly I would let it Go for some time in the field of real programming. Google is well famous for their marketing strategies but when it comes to real world programming, there is nothing to do with marketing tack ticks
Also note that for past few decades lots of programming languages had came and gone. But C/C++ still exists today as the main programming language in the world. Almost all operating systems are written in C/C++. In the embedded world (programming for electronic devices), it is C/C++ and Assembly. Even the Go is based on C++. So if I'm going to learn a programming language, I would give my first preference to C/C++. If you know C, you can switch to any new language you want at any time within a short period of study.
