How to install Eagle 6.1.0 on Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit

When you try to install Eagle 6.1.0 on Ubuntu 11.10, you will probably get an error message stating that libpng14 is missing. Here is how you could sort that out. Prep Ubuntu for 32 bit compilation sudo apt-get install build-essential lib32z1-dev g++-multilib gcc-multilib ia32-libs libssl1.0.0 libss...

Programming PIC under Ubuntu

I was looking for a method to program a PIC under Ubuntu and here is the way to do it. No, you don't need MPLab :) First we will have to install following tools. gputils – a collection of tools for the Microchip (TM) PIC microcontrollers. It includes gpasm, gplink and gplib. sdcc – small device C co...

Re: While Battery is charging ???

help me.its important for my new UPS circuit's overcharg protection unit. The S-8205A/B, S-8211E, and S-8215A Series ICs protect lithium-ion battery packs from overcharge, over-discharge, and over-current. The S-8205A/B and S-8211E Series feature accurate voltage-detection and delay circuits, allow...

Re: How to write & read data to EPROM using PC (12Cxx, 24Cxx)

I guess no. There is protocol to program/read from EEPROM, so even you make it over a PC, you will have to either code it up or use a software to do that. A sample code on a PIC18F452 is attached here.
